STANDARD OPERATING GUIDELINE

I-91 response to unknown locations

Purpose: To create a guideline to I-91 response where the location of the incident is not known.

Engine – 2: Shall proceed North from exit 24 to exit 25 and then return southbound.

Engine –3: Shall proceed North from exit 23 to exit 24 and then return southbound.

Engine –1: Shall proceed south from exit 23 to the Cromwell turn-around and return North to Exit 23

Rescue –2: Shall stage at exit 23 and will be called if needed.

Engine –6: Shall stage at exit 23 and will be called if needed.

For fire suppression calls the 2^nd due pumper will provide scene protection and additional water if needed. This pumper shall keep its crew on-board unless directed by the IC.

The last due pumper shall assume a blocking position at an appropriate distance prior to the incident location.
